I highly recommended Nathan as a personal trainer. He is a super enthusiastic, knowledgeable, non-judgemental coach.
I was first trained by Nathan about five years ago at MighteeFit in their amazing Hurricane classes. I had a history of physiotherapy for my knee due to quad dominance misaligning my knee joint. Nathan was always really encouraging and super accommodating in the group sessions, regularly offering alternatives that avoided any pain and always suggesting great stretches for my hips and legs at the end.
It was this attention to detail that made me choose Nathan for 1:1 personal training sessions. Without me mentioning the details of my old physiotherapy plan, Nathan built a range of exercises that mirrored my old programme - showing he really does know his stuff! Before I began 1:1 sessions with Nathan, I had daily pain and stiffness in my kneecaps and hips. I remember going on a hike in Wales and being in so much pain afterwards, I couldn’t use stairs or do any front loading movements at all for the next three days.
Over time, we’ve strengthened my hamstrings and glutes which have helped with my knee issues massively. We’ve worked on mobility and loosening up areas of tightness. We’ve looked at my body’s natural alignment and balance and worked on ways of improving this and now I feel super strong, grounded and mostly pain-free! Nathan’s taught me so much... how to do exercises properly so I don’t injure myself and which exercises to substitute in my weekly classes. Last summer I went to Wales again and climbed the same mountain. This time, I was leading the pack on the way up and there were no DOMS to be seen the next day either! I really value the work we’ve done and continue to see Nathan as he always makes room for improvement and challenge!
